Hi
Hi
God Has Spoken
Scripture
"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,"
— Hebrews 1:1 (NKJV)
“The God Who Speaks”
Have you ever longed to hear from God? In the noise of our world—news headlines, scrolling social media, and nonstop notifications—it's easy to wonder if God is still speaking.
Hebrews 1:1 reassures us that He always has—and He still is.
This verse opens the book of Hebrews with a powerful truth: God spoke. He revealed His heart, His will, and His plan for humanity over generations. His voice thundered on Mount Sinai, whispered to Elijah, and poured out through the faithful prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel. Though each prophet spoke in different times and different ways—visions, dreams, writings, miracles—they were all pointing to one great revelation: the coming of Jesus Christ.
Today, many seek signs or emotional experiences to confirm God is near. But this verse reminds us that God’s clearest message is not just in what He said—but in who He sent. Jesus is the final and fullest Word of God (see Hebrews 1:2).
When we open our Bibles, we are not just reading words about God—we are hearing the voice of God. The same voice that called Moses from the burning bush speaks through the pages of Scripture today. He is still revealing Himself to those who will listen.
Reflection
Do I believe God still speaks today through His Word?
Have I been quiet enough lately to actually listen?
Am I treating the Bible as living revelation or just a religious text?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who speaks. You could have stayed silent, but instead You chose to reveal Yourself through the prophets—and ultimately through Your Son. Teach me to treasure Your Word and recognize Your voice in its pages. Quiet my heart from distractions and tune my ears to Your truth. Help me live each day guided by what You have already said. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
