SUNDAY, 15 JUNE 2025 RESURRECTION SUNDAY YOU ARE THE BEST AND GREATEST GOD HAS EVER MADE AND WILL EVER MAKE Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures - James 1:18 Through the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, God has recreated us in Christ Jesus. On the cross, our old man was crucified with Christ, and at resurrection we were born again. The life we received from our parents was supplanted, and through the new birth, we were born with eternal life in our spirits. We have become new creatures in Christ, creatures that never ever existed before. 1 Corinthians 15:45 says, ‘And so it is written: “The first man Adam was made a living soul.” The last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.’ When we were born through our earthly parents, we became like Adam in the garden. We were born as living souls. However, when we died with Christ on the cross, those living souls died with Him. But at resurrection, we were born again, we became exactly like the Lord Jesus Christ. We took on His life and nature and became life-giving spirits. We have become a kind of firstfruits of all God’s creatures. In other words, of all God’s creatures, we’re the best and the greatest. We are the crown of God’s creation. We’re the pinnacle of all God has ever made. We’re the best and the greatest God has ever made and will ever make. What could be greater and better than a creature that has the life of the Creator God? If God had to compare us to Adam in the garden, we would be superior to him. We’re life-giving spirits, and he was a living soul. If God had to bring all His principalities and powers, we would still be in a superior class as them because we have the life of God in us and they don’t. If God had to round up all His creatures, we would be at the head of the queue, we would be with Him at the table, we would sit with Him on His throne, and indeed we do. That’s because we’re the firstfruits of all His creatures. That’s because we’re more than creatures to Him, we’re His offspring. Glory to God! That’s why you must never allow anyone to put you down in this life. Whatever they say is an inaccurate revelation of who you are. In fact, what many of you don’t know is that the people who keep trying to put you down and degenerate you, are Satan’s human agents. They’re tools in his hand attempting to obscure the light of God’s glory in your life. It’s like Satan using the men and women of the Lord’s day on earth to besmirch His character. They called Him a glutton and a winebibber. They called Him a liar and a deceiver. They called Him demon-possessed. Such individuals reveal the source of their revelation. They’re manifesting Satan’s jealousy. He’s trying to punish God for not doing to him what He did in us. But that changes nothing. We’re stars that shine in the firmament. The glow of the Sun of righteousness radiates through us. We are God’s firstfruits. We’re the best and greatest of all He has ever made. And nothing can ever change that. I know who I am!
