Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Can you hear them? The harmonious songs of the birds. It is still dark as all be outside and they are up singing praises at this early hour. It is beautiful and invigorating.
Today should a rather easy day as far as work goes. Tuesdays are usually the lightest and the easiest days to process. I will be spending time today teaching my backup clerk a lot of what I do. The closer I get to retirement, the more I feel the need to force feed her more information. In tiny morsels of course.
This was working brilliantly until I found out Saturday is the official day that I step up to be the interim supervisor. The supervisor that we had was recalled to her office due to staffing issues and I agreed to step up to help my office. Now I have not done this job full time in a very long time…per my choice, however, with my foot issues, having more of a sit-down job will be beneficial for my recovery and it gives my back up the chance to learn my job while I am still there to ask questions to circumstance to circumstance. My problem will be, I don’t know how to let go. So hopefully, my ignorance of all the supervisory changes that have happened in the last decade will be enough to keep me busy. I know that there are plenty of changes that I have made fun of, so … this should be a challenge but a challenge that is rewarding.
A dear friend and solid Christian friend of ours is planning a trip this weekend to go speak to my father-in-law. Since he (father-in-law) ‘forgot’ to ask the preacher, when he came to visit … my husband asked our friend if he would go and talk to him. And kind of direct the conversation so that dad will ask his questions. Man to man. Prayers for a successful meeting are appreciated.
I have a bazillion different topics running through my head right now. Things I have watched on the news and in social media. Things that I have personally witnessed. Things that I have been involved in. All that has a baring in life. And you know…All of it is or was a surprise to me.
For example: in the news…the senators who were denied entry into specific areas and thought that they were above the law because they were senators.
For example: I swore that I would never sit the desk again…I would retire where I am. Yet here I am getting ready to sit the desk.
For example: Satan literally roams our streets our streets in the ideology of inclusion knowing full well that it he has deceived so many.
For example: Who would have ever guessed that me…a poor child from a small, very judgmental and click type town, would own one of the largest parcels in town and is a published author.
For example: The churches would have so few people in the pews. Even though the truth is right there.
For example: People are more interested in a video on their phone instead of the beauty around them.
Random items. Random thoughts. Things that make you go, ‘huh,’ early in the morning while the singing continues and the coffee is hot.
Seek him today and find your peace. He is there and He is willing.
Be blessed today my friends.
***Those controlled by sinful nature cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spriit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. –Romans 8:8-10
