Morning, June 18th

Read: 2 Corinthians 8:5

Paul was surprised by how much the Macedonians gave to help the Lord's work. First, they didn't have much to share because they were very poor. Second, they didn't think of what they had as theirs. Instead, they gave it to God and then to His servants who needed help helping other people. Their example is a great way to show us how we should give to help people who are in need.

Prayer

Forgive me, Holy Father and Righteous God, for being selfish with the money You have so generously given to me. I want to totally surrender to You, withholding nothing from Your will, and I beg for Your guidance on how to make the most of the blessings You have given me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
