THEME: SHALLOW GROUNDS
TEXT: Mark 4 vs 16 -17
And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 - And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

The seed that fell on the stony ground, sprung up immediately but they where scorched by the sun and they withered. There are many believers who are like these seeds they are shallow. The depth of your faith in the word of God determines how long you will be standing in God. People who are shallow are easily uprooted by the enemy, they can even seem to experience some growth in the Spirit but only for a while.

You know a shallow believer when they are persecuted and afflicted because of their faith in God. When you are only strong in God because every thing is going well with you is a sign of shallowness. Shallow believers compromise their walk God in times of hardship, they are can throw away the purity of their walk with God just to fit in a certain group of people, they throw away their walk with God because of persecution and affliction.

You must not allow affliction and persecution to move you or change what you believe in. Being deep in God comes with a decision to grow in your faith in God. Walking with God doesn't mean everything will be ok no challenges or affliction, these things are part of the journey and you only survive when you die to yourself, when you take up the cross and follow. Everyone has a cross it's on that cross that you crucify yourself, fleshly desires, selfish ambitions and anything that can allow you to follow God fully. When you are deep in God carry the cross daily, you follow daily and die daily.

CONFESSION
Today, I make up my mind to follow Jesus ially, to carry my cross ially and die daily. I am not moved by persecution, affliction and hardship in all these I am more than a conqueror in Jesus mighty name AMEN
