The Call to Holiness: Reflecting God's Nature

June 22,2025

1 Peter 1:15-16, Psalm 93:5, Genesis 17:1

The Desire for Holiness
God's desire is to have children who carry His very nature, and that nature is holiness. As the Bible says, "Be you holy for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15-16). Holiness is not a degree or a suggestion; it's a requirement for those who want to walk with God.

Holiness Adorns God's House
The Psalmist writes, "Your testimonies are sure, O God; holiness adorns Your house forever" (Psalm 93:5). If we are temples of God, then holiness adorns us forever. This is not just a suggestion, but a reality that we must acknowledge and pursue.

Walking Before God
God's call to Abraham, "Walk before Me and be perfect" (Genesis 17:1), is a call to live a life of holiness. As we walk before God, we receive a reflection of perfection, which is holiness. The secret to receiving all that God is lies in desiring to have His nature of holiness.

A Daily Relationship with God
The evidence of walking with God is in the amount of personal instructions we receive from Him on a daily basis. Are you walking before God, or are you walking alone? How often do you interact with Him?
