Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
It looks to be another warm one today. Seven in the morning and it is already 75 degrees. The high is looking like 92. Please stay safe and hydrated today.
Today is going to be a busy day. Starting off with some relaxing and much needed time with my God in His house and…with my husband no less. Then we are off to meet his aunt and uncle who are traveling up from Tennessee to see his dad.
The cancer is growing and spreading. His eleventh hour is nearly closed. However, Light is penetrating and there are signs of repentance and belief. I believe that the doctor’s estimation was to give a wake-up call, and the extension was given to him every opportunity to surrender.
In social media I have read a lot of commentary about ‘love’. About the interpretation of His Love. There has also been a lot of commentary about Grace. The misconceptions of these two powerhouses concerns me. Mind you, I do not judge (try not to at least) anyone else’s sin higher than my own. However, I do try to `live as we required…as Jesus did.
Regardless of your chosen sin, and it is a chosen sin because we all have free will, unless you repent of that sin…meaning turn away from it…then your day before the Father may not go as you had hoped. That sin could be theft. It could be lying. It could be drunkenness. It could be adultery. The list is really endless. Whatever the sin, to truly be on the narrow path to His kingdom, when you ask for forgiveness … you must turn away from that sin and do it no more.
Satan uses the Love of God and the Grace of God to trick us into thinking that we and live as the world lives and still get into heaven. I do not believe that is the case. To live as the world believes means that you really do not believe in the power of God and his glory. To live as the world does means that you never really wanted God, only his blessing. It is kind of like only liking your rich uncle so that he will write you into the will. Then when the will is read and you are not in it, because he saw through you, you are mad at the uncle instead of yourself.
True repentance and surrendering mean that you must live in accordance with His law and His truth. To cherry pick one or two verses to suit your narrative … well…
The bible is all Truth. When only parts of it are used to suit one’s purpose then the context of His words are distorted…just as when Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness. What Satan said was valid, however, it was out of context. Jesus knew the Word and defending against the temptations.
Today as you sit in His presence, ask him about areas in your life that you need to or have not truly repented. Then seek His divine forgiveness and strength to overcome those weaknesses. Satan is very good at making things ‘seem’ okay. Seek an audience with Him and seek the truth.
Be blessed today my friends.
***My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. – Psalm 101:6-7
