In the Beginning 📖 Scripture > “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) “It All Starts With God” Before time began, before light broke the darkness, before anything was formed—God was. Genesis 1:1 is more than the first verse of the Bible—it is the foundation of everything we believe. It doesn’t try to explain God’s existence or defend His power. It simply declares it: > “In the beginning, God created.” This verse tells us something essential: God is the origin, the author, and the architect of all things. The heavens, the earth, the stars, your breath, your story—it all begins with Him. And because God created everything, it means He holds everything together. He is not distant. He is intimately involved in every part of His creation, including you. Whatever your day holds, let this truth anchor your heart: You were created with purpose. Your life is not random. The God who began it all is the One guiding you still. Reflection Questions 1. Do I recognize God as the foundation of my life, or am I trying to start with myself? 2. How does knowing God created everything change the way I see my circumstances today? 3.
