LETTERS FROM THE UNDERGROUND HOUSE CHURCHES IN IRAN TO THOSE WHO WROTE THEM MESSAGES OF ENCOURAGMENT
Dear friends,
Many of you sent messages of hope and encouragement to the underground churches in Iran. Many responded.
Below are two of those responses.
Letter 1:
Hello to all caring and zealous brothers and sisters in God,
I am Nasim. I am a widow. I am also a leader in the underground churches in Iran. In these days when the war cast its shadow on our hearts, the spirit of fear took over my whole being.
There were nights when I couldn’t sleep for a moment because of the fear. I would just cry and say:
“Heavenly Father… You promised to give us peace. I just want peace. I want Your peace.”
When I saw your loving messages and videos of your prayers for us, suddenly a deep peace like a wave from heaven, swept over my heart. And today for the first time, after reading your messages, I went to sleep peacefully because I knew that the prayers of you saints are powerful and that your prayers are with us.
Amen that our beloved country Iran be saved and the day will come when you step on our freed soil and we can serve Jesus alongside each other.
Letter 2:
Greetings to my dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
To be honest, I've been feeling really bad these past few days.
I was so scared that even the sound of a pot falling in the kitchen woke me up. My heart was pounding. I thought I'd been hit by a missile.
I don't know what happened to my soul, but I've become so sensitive that even a normal sound feels like an explosion.
But thank God for you! For each and every loving message you sent. Now whenever I am afraid, I read your messages out loud. The messages that you wrote with faith and love, your voice is like a blanket to me. A warm blanket that wraps around my heart and slowly takes away my fear.
God bless you because you don't just pray…You are a beacon of hope in the darkness of our days.
From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you for being with us with your prayers.
We believe that these difficult days will pass and we believe that God has good and hopeful thoughts for us. He never leaves His children alone.
When I received your messages, strength came to my heart. The thought that you are praying for us from afar with your strong faith
you gives us strength knowing that our Heavenly Father is taking care of us.
We are waiting for the day we hear the news of Iran's freedom and we can all celebrate together.
