Separation from Darkness: A Call to Authentic Christianity June 26,2025 2 Corinthians 6:14-17, Matthew 10:38, John 14:26 The mixing of Christianity with practices like voodoo, fetishism, and other forms of darkness is a painful reality. When we come to Christ, we lay aside our old ways and take up our cross to follow Him. The life of Christ erases our past practices, and the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth. The Problem of Syncretism Many believers struggle to differentiate between the life of Jesus and the world. They may still engage in practices that are antichrist in nature, such as seeking help from babalawos or using candles for spiritual purposes. However, as followers of Jesus, we have received the Holy Spirit, who teaches us all things and empowers us to live a life separated from darkness. A Call to Separation The call is clear: separate yourself from the devil's influence and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Don't mix light with darkness. When you follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit will guide you and provide solutions to life's problems.
