THEME: THE SPIRIT IN YOU
TEXT: John 14 vs 17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

What makes you a child of God is the Spirit that dwells in you. The world has a spirit that controls them making them to act and behave in a certain ways. The bible says there is a prince of the power of air who works in the children of disobedience. When you see a man living in disobedience and rebellion there is a spirit operating in them.

Even so a child of God has a Spirit that works in them this is the Spirit of God. You can't be a Child of God then act and live like those of the world. The Spirit that dwells in us is the Spirit of grace and grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and empowers us to live righteously in a wicked world. The wickedness in this world can not allow you to live in righteousness in your own strength, you must be empowered by a Spirit and that is the Spirit of God.

There is a Spirit that dwells in you, righteousness is not a problem, manifesting the image and character of God is not a problem because the Holy Spirit dwells in you giving desire and the ability to do what pleases God. The Holy Spirit makes you to know the things of God, he is the teacher and he is the Spirit of faith.

CONFESSION
I know who I am I have a spirit inside, the Spirit of God he teaches me to live righteously in a wicked generation in Jesus mighty AMEN
