Wake up!

Some who profess Christ can spend 40 hours a week working a secular job, but can't spend one hour praying unto the Father.

Some who profess Christ will spend years acquiring knowledge to perform a secular career, but can't spend just s few moments studying the Word of God without it becoming burdensome to them.

This is the kind of spiritual lethargy that has crept into the lives of many who claim to be of the household of God in our time. And this is largely due to the fact that secularism has come to dominate the Christian landscape instead of biblical orthodoxy.

We live in a day and age of "designer Christianity" that people looking to feel "spiritual" visit a somewhat strip mall of "gospel boutiques" where they shop for the one which best suits their personal tastes. And in most of these "shops", sound doctrine does not exist, the Bible is but a rudimentary accessory, Jesus is not Lord, faith is in oneself, and grace means that sin becomes a freewheeling indulgence with no consequence.

If anyone who professes to know God, and to love Him, they will have an insatiable hunger and thirst for His Word! They will not put work or career, or anything above God's Word. Michael King
