Understanding Spiritual Authority on Earth July 2,2025 Psalm 115:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Psalm 2:1-2 The heavens belong to the Lord, while the earth has been given to humanity. As children of men, we have been entrusted with this domain. Though humans possess a spirit, it is enclosed within a soul and housed in a physical body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Spirits, whether fallen or perverted, are not authorized to dominate this realm, as the earth was created for humanity's benefit. Why then do we succumb to fear? The challenge lies in recognizing our spiritual authority and exercising it. The Role of Humans on Earth According to biblical principles, spirits without physical bodies cannot function on earth without a host. The spirit returns to God, while the physical body returns to the earth. This highlights the importance of human collaboration with the heavens to accomplish God's purposes on earth. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of their rights and roles, leaving them vulnerable to the enemy's schemes. Instead of uniting against Satan, they often turn against each other. Resisting the Enemy Jesus' prayer in the Gospel demonstrates that believers should not tolerate the evil one but rather resist him at all times. As stewards of the earth, we must prioritize our spiritual authority and work together to overcome the enemy's attempts to divide and deceive us.
