🌟🔥 A WALL OF FIRE: GOD’S PROMISE OF PROTECTION AND PRESENCE🔥🌟 “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.” — Zechariah 2:5 When God spoke this to Israel, they were vulnerable, freshly returned from exile, rebuilding broken walls and ruined dreams. Their enemies mocked them. Their city was open to attack. Yet God gave them this stunning promise: ✅ “I Myself will be your wall.” ✅ “Not just any wall—a wall of fire.” ✅ “And My *glory* will dwell among you.” 🔥 A Wall of Fire: Unlike stone walls that can crumble, God’s fire repels every enemy, seen and unseen. In Exodus 14:19–20, His fiery pillar shielded Israel from Egypt’s army. No force could breach His protection. 🕊️ Glory in the Midst: God didn’t just guard them from danger, He dwelled among them! His presence was their treasure, their hope, their peace. ✨ WE ARE THE MODERN ISRAEL ✨ Today, as believers in Christ, we are God’s covenant people. We are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). We live in a world that is dark, dangerous, and deceptive. But His promise stands: ✅ He will surround you with His fire. ✅ He will dwell in you and among you. ✅ He will defend you against spiritual attacks, fear, temptation, and evil. 💡 Illustration from Life: Think of the three Hebrew boys in Babylon’s fiery furnace (Daniel 3:23–25). They were thrown into fire—but instead of being consumed, they found Jesus walking with them in the flames. God doesn’t promise there will be no fire. He promises the fire won’t harm you when He is with you.
