Trusting God with today

JULY 2

It’s Personal Now

“None of them will have to teach a neighbor to know the LORD, because all will know me, from the least to the greatest.”
JEREMIAH 31:34 GNT

In the Old Testament, the Lord spoke to His people through the prophets. Men such as Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others exhorted Israel to worship Him, seek Him, obey Him in holiness, and serve Him wholeheartedly. God’s reason for speaking today is the same as it was then; however, His method has changed. In seeking to build an intimate relationship with us, the Father now communicates directly and personally to us through Scripture and the illuminating presence of the Holy Spirit.

While God still speaks through spiritual leaders, He delights in communicating with you one-on-one. So consider: Do you actively seek to know Him as your Redeemer, Lord, and intimate Friend? Do you personally take time to have a relationship with Him? Or are you relying on other people to tell you who Jesus is and what He desires from you?

From the beginning of your life, the Lord has sought to fellowship with you. Now it’s your choice. Don’t miss out on the awesome privilege of knowing God and building a close relationship with Him. Don’t delegate that honor to others. Seek Him for yourself because you will surely find Him.

Jesus, I want to know You for myself. Thank You for speaking right to my heart. Amen.
