It's astounds me how many are decieved into believing that a prayer or church attendance or being kind to others or doing certain rituals gets you into heaven. All lies from the Devil! In order to truly understand how to be saved, YOU MUST look to the scriptures.

[19] Their sentence is based on this fact: that the Light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the Light, for their deeds were evil. [20] They hated the heavenly Light because they wanted to sin in the darkness. They stayed away from that Light for fear their sins would be exposed and they would be punished. [21] But those doing right come gladly to the Light to let everyone see that they are doing what God wants them to."

Because of his kindness, you have been saved through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. [9] Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it. [10] It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.
Bottom line: If you belive you are saved any other way than what Scripture tells us, you are decieved and not truly a Christian.
