“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” — Romans 10:10 (NIV)
Faith doesn’t start big. It begins like a seed—quiet, small, tucked into the soil of the heart. When we believe in Jesus, it’s as if that seed takes root. At first, nothing may look different on the outside. But deep down, the roots of trust are forming. With time, water, light, and care—prayer, Scripture, fellowship—that seed starts to grow. A sprout reaches upward. Leaves open to the Son. Eventually, that tiny seed becomes a living testimony, visible to others.
That’s what Paul is getting at: belief begins in the heart (where the seed is planted), but salvation isn’t just internal. It wants to grow out into the open. It pushes up through the surface and finds its voice. “It is with your mouth that you profess your faith.”
For kids, this may mean telling a friend, “I believe in Jesus!”
For adults, it may look like sharing a testimony, singing with conviction, or showing mercy when it's hard.
And when that seed bears fruit—when your words and actions reflect Jesus—others get to taste the goodness of God.
So here’s the question:
Is your seed being watered?
And what kind of fruit is starting to form?
Let’s believe deeply, speak boldly, and grow faithfully.
Have a great day, and as always, let others see Jesus in you!
