“And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” — 1 Kings 19:12b (NIV)
I was sitting on the porch one day, reading Scripture and spending time with the Lord, when I quietly prayed, “Lord, show me Your presence.”
And then, it happened.
Not a thunderclap. Not a flash of lightning. But a breeze—so light it barely brushed my skin. And yet, in that moment, I knew: He was near.
It reminded me of how often we expect God to show up in dramatic fashion—shaking the mountains, parting the skies. But sometimes, He comes like a breath. A songbird. A butterfly. A baby's laughter. Not loud, but unmistakable.
The same God who split the sea can also sit with you in silence. He doesn’t need a stage to show His presence—sometimes all He needs is a porch, a seeking heart, and a breeze.
Have a great day, and as always, let others see Jesus in you!
