Who Is Saved, and Who Is Doomed? -- Pastor Joseph Clark

“Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” — Mark 3:29

“It is impossible... to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God.” — Hebrews 6:4–6

“For God so loved the world… whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16

Scripture tells us everything essential for salvation, life, and eternity. Through the Holy Spirit, God has given us His Word to know Him, follow Him, and find life in Him. Yet some mysteries remain hidden until we are with Him in glory (1 Cor 13:12).

Some speculate that even Satan might one day be forgiven—but Scripture clearly says otherwise (Revelation 20:10). Ministers do not possess secret answers, but we do have God’s full counsel concerning salvation. It is not theory. It is truth.

There is no neutral ground: either we accept Jesus Christ or we reject Him (Matthew 12:30). Many assume their good deeds or religious sincerity will save them, but Scripture says otherwise. Salvation is found in Christ alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). No amount of goodness or alternate belief can replace the need for repentance and faith in Jesus.

What about those who’ve never heard the gospel? Revelation 14:6 says God will ensure that the eternal gospel is proclaimed to “every nation and tribe and language and people.” No one will be condemned unfairly; God is just. But rejection of His revealed light brings judgment.

The “unforgivable sin” is not a momentary doubt or fear—it is a persistent, deliberate rejection of the Holy Spirit's testimony about Christ. Hebrews warns us not to “fall away” by spurning grace after tasting it.

Christ’s offer of salvation is like a hand reaching into icy waters to rescue a drowning soul. He saves not because we deserve it, but because He loves us. To reject Him is to choose death. To receive Him is to receive eternal life.

As Pascal once reasoned, there is no gain in rejecting Christ—only eternal loss. But to receive Him brings purpose, peace, and salvation. The evidence of Christ is overwhelming; the offer is open.

Choose life. Choose Christ. Jesus saves!
