Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

This weekend has been a challenge; however, I survived. The resilience that I was born with really shined. On Saturday, my office was without carriers on five routes and no one to carry them. My boss and I each pitched in and because my office is awesome, everyone in that section pitched in as well. I have not delivered mail in probably seven years. There is a reason for that…its hot outside.

That being said, God blessed us with a beautiful day. The route that I carried is full of trees and brooks. I saw three different sets of deer; one of which had a baby, and the last one looked at me as if I were disturbing their lunch. There were some mini goats who were quite excited to see me as well. The scenery was mesmerizing. The only downside to my day was the vehicle I was using ran out of oil before I finished the route and I had to return to the office for a different vehicle. The good and the bad of it was I was late enough that there was a second vehicle for me to use. Saturday was an extraordinarily long day for me. But a rewarding one.

Yesterday was supposed to be a lazy recover day, however, without groceries in the house…one must shop. Again…another beautifully brilliant day with a strong peaceful undertone. Though I did not make it to His house, He made it to mine.

The world’s view these days is that there is no God. That if God were real, there would be no bad. They allow the dark to overshadow the Light. It is almost as though they do not know what true Light is. True beauty. True peace. All they can relate to is the chaos and each nugget of chaos resonates instantly with them.

I could have been in a negative mood all day Saturday for the heat and being out of my comfy chair at work, but I witnessed the beauty of God everywhere I turned…even in mistakes. I could have focused on my tired and worn-out body yesterday (which to be honest was my goal…haha), but He reminded me of other priorities and blessed me with great companionship…my husband and a gloriously magnificent day….topped off with a shower to water the plants.

We watched a movie last night that was about an impending civil war in current day United States. The reporters were on their way from New York or Pennsylvania (don’t remember which) on their way to Washington DC to try and interview the president. Warzone after warzone, demented thinking arena to demented thinking arena and then … a town that appeared to be stuck in times of old and their temperament as well. They were not oblivious to the trials, but they did not let the trials of the world dictate their actions and mood.

While watching this movie, I realized that is us every day. Chaos is all around us. There is nothing we can do to ‘stop’ it, but we do have a choice on how we react to it. We can join in and be part of the problem, calling it survival … or … we can choose to live protected by His power and grace. Regardless of the circumstance … it is still a choice.

Today I encourage you to reach out to the Holy Spirit and sit in His presence while the world implodes around you, He will give you peace. It will not make any sense how you are at peace, but oh how refreshing it is. When we walk around at peace, in the midst of a storm…those who do not have peace want to know the ‘how’ … that my friends is the first seed. And a seed is all that is needed for a positive start.

Be blessed today my friends.
