ARMENIA - LAND OF NOAH
Armenia is often called "The Land of Noah," not only because of the proximity to Mt. Ararat in Turkey, but also because the Armenians trace their lineage directly back to Japeth, one of Noah's sons.
Japheth had a son named Togarmah (Genesis 10:3), and according to Armenian tradition, Togarmah is considered an ancestor of the Armenian people.
Early Christian Armenian historians like Moses of Chorene (5th century A.D.) wrote that Haik, the legendary founder of the Armenian nation, was a descendant of Japheth, making Armenians descendants of Noah through Japheth and Haik.
