THE REWARDS OF THE EXCELLENT SPIRIT When God Honors the Spirit of Distinction “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him…” — Daniel 6:3 God is a Rewarder. He does not overlook those who diligently walk with Him in integrity, purity, and excellence. While the spirit of excellence may attract opposition, delay, or misunderstanding, it ultimately positions the believer for divine elevation, favor, and lasting impact. Daniel’s life proves that when excellence becomes your lifestyle, honor becomes your portion. In this chapter, we explore the rich rewards that follow those who carry and sustain the excellent spirit. 1. Divine Promotion Excellence attracts elevation. Daniel rose through the ranks in a foreign land—not because of politics, bribery, or compromise—but because of his spirit. When others were overlooked, Daniel was preferred. “Promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west… but God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” — Psalm 75:6–7 Those who walk in excellence do not need to chase positions. Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den not because of failure, but because of his integrity and faithfulness. But God preserved him! “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths…” — Daniel 6:22 Those who carry the Excellent Spirit are preserved supernaturally, even in the midst of plots, envy, and spiritual warfare. God fights for the excellent because they represent Him well. 5. Heaven’s Commendation When you live with an excellent spirit, heaven takes notice. You don’t just get applause from men—you receive commendation from God. “Well done, good and faithful servant…” — Matthew 25:21 There is no greater reward than knowing that your life pleased the Master. The excellent spirit guarantees eternal recognition and reward. 6. Generational Impact Daniel’s legacy went beyond his lifetime. His visions, writings, and lifestyle still inspire millions.
