Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
What a wonderful day that we have been blessed with today. The robins are in full vocal bloom. The sun is easing its way up over the treetops (trying to not give us the bright light in a dark room shock). There is a slight chance of rain this evening to refresh the grass, trees, and crops. The temperature, where warm, not overbearing. An absolutely beautiful day to come.
The doctor, yesterday, was most positive about the care and treatment plan that seems to be working for my husband. Solid plans for continued ‘success’ were put into place.
Met with a friend for a splash of lemonade and a barrel full of laughs and catching up. I am not sure which of us needed the laughs more.
As I was driving home last night, a fleeting squirrel thought popped into mind again about how most of my friends…are polar opposite to my personality in a lot of ways. Yet we jive quite nicely. The other day, another friend of mine and I were talking about how if we had met in different circumstances ‘would we still have been friends?
Because of how I have met a lot of my friends, the fact that we are similar in small areas, and not all are believers … I have gotten to a point where I do not shy away from anyone any longer. I see all people, now, as possible gardens for planting … or watering. I never know for sure if they are planting/watering me, or I them. Or if it is mutual. This mastery of colorful artwork or culinary masterpiece of flavors, that He has combined is fascinating to me.
I encourage you to look at your circle of friends. Look at the blended colorful nature and flavor packed setting that He has provided you with. As you grow in Him, he will remove colors and flavors that no longer suit your path. That is okay. I am not sure of anyone who puts cayenne pepper on their Raisin Bran. So why would you have a flavor that is not good for you? Or someone who has swirls of mismatched colors in a piece of precision art. It’s okay for the circle of friends to change. Those that are meant to be there will always be there. That is the best part.
Take a few moments today and look at your circle. Look at who all has been in your circle…those that are no more and those that remain. What about those that are no longer in your life, significant to the path that you are on? Were they cayenne pepper for your cereal that just did not belong anymore? Maybe they were there for a short while as a try it and see if we like it but realized that the flavor was just too off. As you look at your circle, give thanks for those who there and know that you were placed together for a purpose.
Be blessed today my friends.
