GOD IS AWARE OF EVERY TEAR YOU CRY
"You have kept count of tossings;
put my tears in your bottle.
Are they not in your book?" -- Psalm 56:8
Your tears have a voice, and they get God's attention. Have you ever stopped to consider that God is keeping track of all your sorrows He knows each one of them. He has seen you cry until you cannot cry anymore. He has witnessed your heartache over everything in your life. He has seen your tears when you have cried all alone in the dark, not sure of where to turn or where to go. How precious you are to Him!
Let t he tears flow and know that your God cares for you intimately and with great passion!
Let that sink in. From the burdens you felt as a 3 year old. To the weights of your teen years. To the anxieties of your young adulthood, to the complexities of old age. Every burden, painful moment, and anxiety you have faced, God is aware of.
Tears communicate to others your need for support and love. So, in one way, God's designing of tears was actually a design born from His care for us.
Psalm 56 teaches us that God does not simply dismiss our pain. He does not acknowledge it and then move on. No, he records them. He keeps record. Personal. Intimate. Caring. This is who our God is. Jesus understands where you are, more than you realize. May this Psalm be a gentle reminder, your pain is not unseen by the LORD. They help us trust in the Lord when it is difficult to see the reasonings and the whys. But soon, we will hear with our own ears and feel on our own faces, the gentle hands of God, wiping away our tears --
