Jeremiah 9:23 Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, (2451) and let not the mighty boast man boast (1984) of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;

Ezekiel 24:25-27 'As for you, son of man, will it not be on the day when I take from them their stronghold, the joy of their pride, (8597) the desire of their eyes, and their heart's delight, (5315) their sons and their daughters,
that on that day he who escapes will come to you with information for your ears? (241)
'On that day your mouth (6310) will be opened to him who escaped, and you will speak (1696) and be dumb no longer. Thus you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the LORD.'"
Tyre's King Overthrown
Ezekiel 28:1-8 The word (1697) of the LORD came again to me saying,
"Son (1121) of man, (120) say (559) to the leader (5057) of Tyre, 'Thus says (559) the Lord((136) GOD, "Because your heart (3820) is lifted up And you have said, (559) 'I am a god, (410) I sit in the seat (4186) of gods, (430) In the heart(3820) of the seas'; Yet you are a man and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God--
Behold, you are wiser (2450) then Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you.
"By your wisdom (2451) and understanding You have acquired (6213) riches (2428) for yourself, And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.
"By your great wisdom, by your trade (7404) You have increased your riches, And your heart (3824) is lifted up because of your riches--
Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have made your heart Like the heart of God,
Therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon you, The most ruthless of the nations. (1471) And they will draw their swords (2719) Against the beauty of your wisdom And defile (2490) your splendor.
"They will bring you down to the pit, (7845) And you will die (4191) the death of those who are slain (2491) In the heart of the seas.
1 Kings 20:10-12 And Ben-hadad sent to him and said, "May the gods (430) do so to me and more also, if the dust (6083) of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people who follow me."
Then the king of Israel answered and said, "Tell him, Let not him who girds on his armor boast (1984) like him who takes it off.'"
And it came about when Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking with the kings in the temporary shelters, that he said to his servants, "Station yourselves." So they stationed themselves against the city.
