Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

That moment when you realize that God is speaking to you and what He is saying, you really do not want to hear. That moment when you hear plane as day what the Holy Spirit is leading you to, but you are like, this can’t be true. I must be being deceived. That moment when you must stand alone and the world is watching, so you look for an avenue of escape. That moment when you quit trying to hide and surrender, then see what the movement was that God was leading you to start. That moment.

Has anyone else experienced “that moment” syndrome? Many times I have had the urge, as it were, to do something out of the norm. Sometimes I follow through and sometimes I try to lawyer my way out. Creating all the reasons in the world … note I said the ‘world’… to not do what I felt like I was supposed to do. Those little nudges. Those little flickers of ‘do this’. Those little whispers. Those could very well be the seeds we are to plant.

It could be as simple as not getting angry when someone says something hurtful and untrue. It could be talking to the difficult person … about anything and just listening … even if it is their silence. It could be just showing up. Perhaps, it is standing alone for the truth. Possibly it is going against the norm because you see the flaw and you want to correct it. It could even be that person who you were successful in not blowing up on and now you calmly offer them a chance to talk it out. Maybe you overheard a conversation that was not for your ears and the choice you must make now on what to do with that information. The scenarios are endless.

Whatever the circumstance is, the best course of action is to follow the voice of the Holy Spirit. There is a reason that you have been delegated to this particular situation. It will be for two reasons always … one your growth and two a seed to be planted. Some of the most difficult situations we get into are with fellow believers. Believers are some of the most hard-headed people when talking to other believers. I am guilty. We get in our own heads that we are right, or our thinking is right and when another believer expresses a different thought than ours, we want to battle. Sometimes the hardest whisper to follow is correcting a believer. We tend to feel like our back is against the wall instantly and go into defense mode.

Some of the strongest and boldest faithful friends I have were courageous enough to listen to that whisper when I needed it most. I am forever thankful.

I have been asked, by the Spirit, on multiple occasions to stand alone. To be brave. To uphold the truth in the middle of chaos. To calmly accept whatever repercussions there were, even if the fault was not mine. I don’t share this for accolades, but to demonstrate that if I can keep my big mouth shut when being falsely accused, anyone can.

Is there an area that you are trying to avoid because you don’t want the drama or chaos? Have you been trying to shut down your God ears, so you don’t have to ‘hear’ where He is leading you? Have you chosen the easy path because you are tired and don’t feel like you have the battle inside you? I understand. I have been in those places. I also know that He will not go away and that when He wants you to grow, he will guide you to grow. Yes we have free will, but ultimately when you love the Father, you succumb to his desires because you know whatever it is … it is going to help you in the long run.

Be blessed today my friends.

***The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. – Numbers 6:24-26
