What does it mean Jesus is Lord?

Lord in Koine Greek, the language the new testament is written in is kyrios. The Greek Septuagint, which is a Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures some 300 years before Jesus was born, translates YHWH into Kyrios. YHWH is the Tetragrammaton and references the Divine Name. Because the Jews were afraid of both intentional and unintentional blasphemy, they would say Adoni instead of the Divine Name. Adoni = Kyrios = Lord = YHWH. Most scholars agree that YHWH is pronounced something like Yahweh. Therefore, Jesus is Lord means Jesus is Yahweh and since one group thinks YHWH should be pronounced Yahuah, or Jehovah in English, this means Jesus is Jehovah.
