THEME: YOUR BODY AS LIVING SACRIFICE
TEXT: Romans 12 vs 1
.....that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
This body has the life an animal, an animal lives by instinct and emotions because that is the language of body. An animal has no mind hence, it can not reason but you have a mind. The mind is the control center of the body's actions. You must present your body as sacrifice, sacrifice means death.
By Sacrifice you must kill the flesh not allowing the body to control you. God is not only interested in your spirit but also in your body. Your Spirit is transformed by the life of God it has recieved but your body is not, it acts in its on way. The body can only be sacrificed when the mind is transformed by God's word so that what is in your Spirit is also expressed in your body.
You body must become a slave of righteousness and not sin. The transformation of your mind is the transformation of your body, if your mind is not a slave of righteousness so also is the body because it is controlled by the mind. Your body is only sacrificed when serving God in righteousness. Both your body and spirit are for the Lord.
CONFESSION
I allow the word of God to fill my mind, so the life of God in my Spirit can be expressed in my soul and body in Jesus mighty name AMEN
