THEME: SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS
TEXT: Philipians 3 vs 9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Paul the apostle never wanted to be found in christ having his own righteous but the righteousness by faith. It is possible that you can be a believer and yet your righteousnees is of your own making. Self righteousness is righteousness by following the law.

There those who because they are following a set of law think they are pleasing God. The righteous God is demanding of us is not of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. There is nothing that a man can do outside of Christ that can please God. It is not about keep laws or regulation but a relationship with God. You can keep laws but yet there is no relationship with God.

There is nothing man can do about his sin condition except to believe in the finished work of Christ. When we are in Christ we recieve his righteousness and this righteous we receive empowers us to do what is right before God. Its not what we can do about our sin, our faults and weakness except to surrender them to the who died for us so that we can live for him.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for righteous that is by faith in Jesus Christ. I will try to be righteous by keeping the Law but today I believe what Jesus did for me on the cross AMEN
