*DEVOTIONAL COMPANION*

*LEARN TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS.*

Hebrews 13:2 (KJV)...... *.Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.*

Any leader or believer who lacks the wisdom to entertain strangers is not wise at all and might be missing out on God’s end-time plan. One of the criteria given by Paul the Apostle for anyone who wants to accept the position of a bishop in 1 Timothy 3:2 (KJV), which I also use for our leadership training, is this.

A bishop then (or leader) must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach, etc. When you read this verse in the Amplified version, it reads: (He must be hospitable, showing love for and being a friend to believers, especially strangers and foreigners, and be a capable and qualified teacher.

How can you claim to be a follower of Christ if you can’t entertain strangers? I know we are living in the last days and a lot of evil is happening, but we must not allow that to shut us out from carrying out our ministry as believers towards strangers.

Always ask the Holy Spirit and be open to helping someone, whether you know the person or not, for some have entertained angels unaware. Be wise.

Prayer:
Lord, I walk in the wisdom of the Spirit to help me discern the leading of the Spirit so I don’t close up my heart to the people I should help. Amen.

Bible Reference:1 Timothy 3: 1-16 (AMP).

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 10:25 (MSG)..... *When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed.*
