Hebrews 5:9 (KJV)..... *and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.*
1 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV) ....... *Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?*
I feel impressed by the Spirit of God to write to you about the word AUTHOR in the Bible. This word author appeared just 3 times in the entire Bible, and out of the 3 times, I have given you 2 of them. There is something about this word and what it means when used.
The Greek word for the word “Author” as used in our theme scripture is the word “aitios”, and this time, it means a causative, i.e., a causer. One who causes a thing to begin or one who begins a thing.
So, Paul the Apostle is letting us know that God is the one WHO BECAME THE AUTHOR OF ETERNAL SALVATION unto them that obey him. And in the church at Corinth, he tells them that God is not the one who begins any form of confusion or disorder but of peace.
It is important to know this truth because if you don’t know where your salvation comes from or who authorised your salvation, then it is possible to miss it.
Now, because our Lord Jesus is the one who became the author of eternal salvation, it is then impossible for you to lose your salvation or for you to miss out on his blessings.
Whatever he begins, he will finish. May the Lord be praised.
Prayer:
I am a child of God because I am born of him. His seed is in me and because of that, I can’t loose my salvation because as he is, so am i in this world and I am confident that I will see him when he shall appear in Jesus name. Amen.
Bible Reference: John 10:1-42.
