MIRACLE (29) By B.B.John

I have three truths to tell you concerning the man who was "blind from his birth."

First, his affliction was not as a result of sin.

The moment the disciples saw the blind man, they asked Jesus a question: "Who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered them and said: "Neither hath this man sinned nor his parents..."

While the disciples' question tells us that sin can cause affliction; Jesus' answer teaches that not all afflictions are caused by sin. In other words, you can be innocent and still face terrible challenges of life, such as health, marriage, finance, and spiritual. Like Job, righteous people still suffer and fight wars. So, stop thinking your sin is the cause of your problem. Even if it is; God forgives sin.

Second, your affliction is for the glory of God.

Another lesson from Jesus' answer is that God often permits some unfavorable things to happen in our lives that He might manifest His mighty works in us. So, in the end, God will step in and manifest His mighty power to give us our needed miracle and glorify us.

Third, the Lord will creatively finish the unfinished work in your life, including odd blindness.

After answering the question, Jesus walked up to the blind man, "spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle". With it, He anointed the man's eyes and told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. The man obeyed and received his sight.

This miracle tells us about the creative power of Christ. Man was originally made from the dust of the ground. Jesus creatively made new eyes for the blind man by anointing his eyes with clay.

Like He did for the man, Jesus wants to creatively finish every unfinished work in your life. He is still creating and recreating lives and destinies. In spite of your terrible situations, the Creator Christ will step in and new things will spiring up in your life.
