The Cross and the Resurrected Life

July 24,2025
Scriptures:Romans 6, Galatians 2:20

Our Christ-life journey begins at the cross, where we offload the weight of sin and self. It's a divine reality that we were crucified with Christ, and our old life is dead. Jesus, the sinless substitute, took our place on the cross, fulfilling the demands of holiness and righteousness. This journey continues as we acknowledge that we now live in Christ Jesus, who is the resurrected Lord.

As believers, we must study two crucial aspects:

1. Our life at the Cross: Understanding our crucifixion with Christ and the end of our old life.
2. Our life from the Cross: Embracing our new life in the resurrected Christ, living out His life poured out for us.

The Bible calls this "newness of life" (Romans 6). Jesus of Nazareth is the Root, while in Resurrection is He the Vine and we are His branches connected to Him We must balance both aspects of our journey. I pray to explore this series further.
