Read: Isaiah 30:18
God is slow to do what is right when that right involves punishing His people. In the Old Testament, God is often described as "kind and slow to get angry." God wants to be kind to His people and bless them. He gives us more time to change and come back to Him. God gave us His own Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice to pay for our sins. Let's listen to what God wants and then turn our lives and hearts toward the God who loves us.
Prayer
How can I ever thank you, Almighty God and Heavenly Father, for showing your love and mercy by sending your Son to die for my sins! Please forgive me for the times I haven't shown you how much I appreciate your grace by the way I live my life. Please make me perfect through your Spirit, just as you've forgiven me and washed me clean through your grace. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
