This is from my morning devotions scriptures are from Amos, Daniel, and Revelation
Amos 8:11-12 (KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Daniel 12:4 (KJV) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Revelation 6:15-17 (KJV) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 9:6 (KJV) And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
These scriptures in Amos and in Daniel read about the same, they are saying that in the end time if we do not know the word of God that they will be deceived and try desperately to search the holy scriptures for the truth, but will not find it. Because the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn and they will be searching and trying to get the Holy Spirit; but God has taken it away from the people who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We must protect ourselves through the will of God, who only wants good for us; and meditate on His word daily, as often as possible, to allow the transformation of our minds through the renewing power of His word.
And in Revelation
Revelation 9:6 (KJV) And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
It says the same thing but it words it differently, it says they will look for death but they won't find it because it will be far from them. And they will be serching for the the Holy Spirit but Christ has already withdrawn it. And we'll all be going through the seven last plagues of Revelation but it will only be those of us that keep the whole Commandments of God who will be protected.
