Greater Hope Christian Academy is a small, community-based school located in Githurai, near Githurai Kimbo Police Station in Kiambu County, Kenya. Founded on love, faith, and a deep commitment to education, the school offers a safe learning space for children from disadvantaged backgrounds who would otherwise be left behind.

Despite limited resources, Greater Hope provides foundational learning in a nurturing Christian environment. Most of our learners come from low-income families who can only afford to pay small bits of school fees, often irregularly. Yet, we strive to never turn a child away.

We currently face major challenges:

Rent arrears and threats of eviction

Damaged classroom floors and poor toilet facilities

Lack of desks, tables, books, and basic teaching materials

Unpaid utility bills, including electricity

No permanent source of funding

Yet, in the face of these struggles, the joy of the children, the dedication of the volunteer teachers, and the dreams that fill our tiny classrooms continue to inspire hope.

Greater Hope is more than just a school—it’s a lifeline. We are not yet registered, but we are fully committed to the mission of giving every child a chance to learn, grow, and believe in a better future.

We are seeking partners, sponsors, and well-wishers who can stand with us as we uplift these little lives, one lesson at a time.
