Lord, I have suffered from hurtful remarks,
from words and actions that pierced my heart,
from betrayals and overwhelming anger,
that caused damage deep within me...
Whether through words, looks, or attitudes,
the scorn I endured has broken me;
And though I silently bear it out of habit,
some wounds inside remain etched...

Seigneur, j'ai souffert de remarques désobligeantes
de mots et de gestes qui ont percé mon cœur,
de trahisons, de colères accablantes,
qui ont causé des dégâts en mon intérieur...
... Que ce soit dans les paroles, les regards ou les attitudes,
le mépris dont j'ai souffert m'a brisée ;
Et bien que j'endure en silence par habitude,
Certains coups en moi sont restés gravés...
