Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Yesterday was an early moving yet fairly productive day. Started with physical therapy for my husband … he was released and we don’t have any more of those. A quiet breakfast, followed by a good visit with my mom. Later in the day we had another productive doctor’s appointment followed by beautiful ride home. Wait … I almost forgot …. Silly me …. I CAN SEE AGAIN. Haha. Yes, I got my new glasses and wow what a difference.

I got my first pair of glasses when I was 13. I remember driving my mom crazy with all the things I could see clearly. She laughed and enjoyed my marveling. Yesterday, when I got my new glasses, I was 13 again. My backup pair served their purpose to keep me from bumping my nose, however, the new ones with the latest prescription…boy howdy.

As I was driving out of the parking lot, now driving my husband crazy with my newfound sight, the Holy Spirit pressed this notion on my heart.

When we first find Jesus and allow him to enter our heart, our vision is crystal clear and full of excitement to serve Him. We see all the things where we can help or serve or guide. We are eager to get out there and save the world or at least make a few more million disciples. Our faith and energy are endless.

Over time as the world encroaches in on our peace and harmony, little cracks in our armor allow the enemy to sneak in and start some nonsense within us. It is quite normal. Sometimes it isn’t even the nonsense that causes us to fall away, we just get busy and we put God on the back burner … just for now. Soon we are so consumed with ‘whatever’ that we simply do not have time for Him. We don’t even realize that we have shut Him out, we are just doing our thing. We are not really sinning that bad and He will forgive us … right?

Then one day, the blinders are lifted and we she His world again and the we see His mercy and we see His grace and we feel His love. We can see again. Our excitement is back. Our desire to serve is back. We take note of the ‘little sins’ we were doing and correct them. We can see clearly now with Him. Like putting on a brand-new pair of glasses.

Today I invite you to rub the world out of your eyes and see the marvelous wonder that He has provided. Look at those who pass by as souls needing a nudge and pray for them right then. They do not have to know and you will never know, but He will. Today is a new day with a new set of glasses … enjoy the view.

Be blessed today my friends.
