What is commendable on Job’s behavior?

1. When he seems to have everything in this world (Job 1:3), he never forgets about God (Job 1:5)

This is contrary to many of us when we already seemed to have everything in this world can offer (material possesions, fame, relationship) we often times neglect to even pray thinking that we are self sufficient.

2. When everything that Job has (children, material posession) been taken away from him, he never cursed God but submits to His will (Job 2:9-10). He even praises God for it (Job 1:21-22)

Unlike most of us when we face troubles or difficulties in life we often think that God has abandonned us leading us to act in our sinful will.

I know that some of us were guilty, and if you think you are opposite of what Job is doing, I wanted to let you know that our God is merciful and gracious and loves you. Turn to Him in prayer, receive Him as your personal Lord and Saviour and submit to His will and you will find your peace that this world can’t offer and you will discover joy in the midst of your trouble.
