This is from Sabbath morning devotions scripture is from James and comments are by me.
James 1:2-4 (KJV) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
When we go through trials its not Jesus bringing them to hurt us, he allowes us to go through them to help strengthen the faith in us, we should feel joy that we know that Christ is right there to help us through them. As it says in Hebrews that He will never leave us nor forsake us:
Hebrews 13:5-6 (KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
And we should know that Jesus will help strengthen us and our faith every time that we go through trials and tribulations. So that when your trial comes up just call on the name of Jesus Christ to help you get through them, and to help you strengthen your faith, and for young believers just starting out. Remember that we need to have joy in our trials, not that we want them, but because we need them, so we know that when we make it through that particular trial that our faith has been strengthened and we also know that when the next one come up the Christ is right there to help us out again and again. So feel joy when our trials and tribulations do come up so we and others can see our faith growing, and that can be a testimony to other young Christians who are just starting out in their walk with Christ.
