This is part of my morning devotions scriptures from Luke and comments by me.
Luke 6:41-42 (KJV) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
There is one thing I do more then any other, I try to help out others when I should be worrying about myself and what I'm doing wrong. Its not OK to ignore or own faults when when really what we are trying to do with others is what we are having trouble with ourselves . So like is says we need to take care of our own problems or" the plank in our eye" before we try to take care of someone else's problem "the speck "in our brothers eyes. I know its hard to ignore our own problems and we want to help out someone's whit there's, but if we are trying to always help someone else out all the time then we will be ignoring what we are having difficult with. It is okay to gently encourage others and try to lead them in the right direction but do not forget that we are a flawed as everyone else. But as always pray before you try to give advice to someone that you see struggling with something, because usually what we see they are doing wrong is the same thing that we are doing wrong too. So help yourselves before your help out other, but if you see someone struggling with a problem that you use to have trouble with the give them a small testimony as to how God help you through it and encourage them and give advice but do not try to seem "Holler then they are" do it with a humble heart, and we need to remember the the problem we are helping them with is the very thing that we use to struggle with.
