Absolutely heartbreaking.

There is no deeper grief than watching people you love drift into deception while thinking they’ve finally found truth. You plead with them, show them Scripture, pray for them—but they still go chasing after another “new revelation” or popular movement that only leads them further from the heart of God.

Some trade the simplicity of the Gospel for the Sacred Name Movement, as if saying the Hebrew pronunciation is more powerful than the blood of Jesus. Others fall into the snare of the Black Hebrew Israelite teachings, convinced that salvation is based on ethnicity, not grace. Still others reject the divinity of Christ, becoming anti-Trinitarian, blind to the beautiful harmony of the Godhead working for our salvation.

Some cling to the lie of an eternal burning hell, painting God as a torturer instead of a just Judge. Others elevate Sunday sacredness, despite zero biblical command, while disregarding the Sabbath that God Himself wrote with His own finger in stone.

These are not just “different views”—they are soul-destroying errors, crafted to pull people away from Christ and His Word. And when it’s people you love, it hurts in a way that’s hard to describe. You remember their sincerity, their passion, their search for God—and you wonder how they ended up so far from the path.

But the saddest part? Many don’t even know they’re deceived. They’re convinced they’re standing for truth. Just like Eve at the tree—“when she saw that it was pleasant to the eyes and desirable to make one wise…” (Genesis 3:6).

Friend, truth matters. Doctrine matters. What we believe about God shapes our relationship with Him. False teachings aren’t just wrong—they misrepresent God’s character and can lead people to reject the very message that would save them.

So don’t stop praying. Don’t stop sharing. Don’t give up. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)—and Truth will never go out of style.

Let’s love them enough to keep warning them—even if it breaks our heart.
