This is from my night devotions scriptures from Proverbs and Matthew and comments by me.
Proverbs 8:10-11 (KJV) Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
We need to know the word of God and to live in His word and in His will, the more time spent with God and the more we spend time in His word the more treasures we will be storing up in heaven. Because gold, silver, money ,homes, cars, and all other worldly positions are nothing compared to the riches we store up in heaven. And where we lay our treasures, whether it be in heaven or on earth, thats where our heart and loyaltys lie.
Matthew 6:19-21 (KJV) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
So remember if we put out trust and our lives into the care of God and into His hands, and we live our lives for Christ, and we try not to hold on to things of this world, and try to hold on the thing in heaven, and to live by the 10 Commandments then we will be laying our treasures up in heaven. So remember that all we own in this world and this life does not belong to us, such as our money, and free time, it is supposed to be put to good use and not wasted on playing with all of our big boy toys. We are to spend time in the word of God studing, praying, and meditating on God's word. And we are not supposed to waste that time that belongs to Christ, Because all our time really belongs to God anyway and not to us, we are to put our money and spare time to help spread the word of Christ, to help our orphans, our elderly, and people that are lost, like people in jails and prisons. So please don't try to get all that your hearts desires here on earth, but everything that our hearts need, which is a good relationship with Christ Jesus. So store all the precious treasures in the store house of heaven it will never be taken away from us as life as we stay loyal to Christ and follow the 10 Commandments.
