Morning, August 9th

Read: Psalms 37:16-17

What do we want to give us a sense of safety? Will it be about what we can do, make, get, earn, and keep? Or will it be our God, who has always been there for us through many generations? We get to choose! So, what decision will you make? What will give you peace of mind?

Prayer

You are the Father of Israel, God of all the nations, and my Heavenly Father, the God who is all-powerful. I have faith in You. I know that my money, possessions, accomplishments, and skills do not belong to me. You have given me these things, and I will use them to honor You and spread Your grace. Please keep my heart clean so I can think only of You. Please help me rid myself of pride and selfishness. Please grant me all of Your strength and blessing, so that I can bring You more glory and show those around me Your love, and Your kindness. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
