A.To Be a Helper to Her Husband

Scripture: Genesis 2:18 – “And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

*Meaning* : God designed the wife to be a complement and partner to her husband — not inferior, but equal in value with distinct roles.


B. Submit to Her Husband’s Leadership

Scripture: Ephesians 5:22–24 – “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.”

*Meaning* : This is willing, respectful cooperation with her husband’s God-given leadership, not forced obedience or inferiority.


C. Respect Her Husband

Scripture: Ephesians 5:33b – “…and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

*Meaning* : Respect includes honoring his role, speaking well of him, and affirming him in private and public.


D. Manage the Home Well

Scripture: Titus 2:4–5 – “…admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”

*Meaning* : She plays an active role in maintaining a godly, peaceful, and orderly home environment.


E. Exhibit Godly Character

Scripture: Proverbs 31:25–26 – “Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.”

*Meaning* : She is to walk in virtue, wisdom, and kindness, influencing her home and community for good.


F. Love Her Husband and Children

Scripture: Titus 2:4 – “…that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children.”

*Meaning* : Her love is sacrificial, nurturing, and committed.

A. Love His Wife Sacrificially

Scripture: Ephesians 5:25 – “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”

*Meaning* : His love is selfless, protective, and willing to lay down his life for her well-being.


B. Lead His Home Spiritually

Scripture: Ephesians 5:23 – “For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.”

*Meaning* : The husband’s leadership reflects Christ’s leadership — guiding, protecting, and making decisions under God’s authority.


C. Provide for His Family

Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:8 – “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

*Meaning* : He must work and ensure the physical and financial needs of his household are met.


D. Protect His Wife

Scripture: 1 Peter 3:7 – “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.”

*Meaning* : Protect her physically, emotionally, and spiritually while honoring her as an equal heir of God’s grace.


E. Be Faithful

Scripture: Malachi 2:14–15 – “…the Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth… she is your companion and your wife by covenant.”

*Meaning* : Maintain unwavering commitment, loyalty, and faithfulness.

Scripture: Colossians 3:19 – “Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.”

*Meaning* : Show patience, gentleness, and avoid harshness in speech or actions.
