Carrie Judd Montgomery was miraculously healed after being bedridden with a spinal illness at age 17. Doctors gave up hope, but after reading about divine healing and receiving prayer, she believed God and rose from her bed in 1879. Her healing became national news.
She became a bold healing evangelist, author, and one of the first prominent women in ministry. Through her magazine The Prayer of Faith and her books, she led others into healing, faith, and Spirit-filled living. Her home became a place of prayer, healing, and revival fire.
Later filled with the Holy Spirit, Carrie helped bridge Holiness and Pentecostal movements. She preached across America, partnered with leaders like A.B. Simpson and Maria Woodworth-Etter, and ministered until her 80s, healing, praying, and pointing people to Jesus.
