1 minute in 2 Timothy 1 How do you "stir up the gift of God" that is in you? In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul says to Timothy: "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee..." And in verse 7, Paul gives IDEAS on how to “stir up the gift of God” in us: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. IDEA #1: (Regarding "God hath not given us the spirit of fear") Step fully into that "liberty" we have in Christ to avoid "the spirit of fear"! IDEA #2: (Regarding "Power") Practice not being "ashamed of the gospel of Christ... for it is the power of God"! IDEA #3: (Regarding "Love") Have a willingness and desire to "Hold fast the form of sound words, which" we have "heard of" Paul! IDEA #4: (Regarding "A sound mind") "Hold fast the form of sound words" which will function to give us "a sound mind"!
