Guten Morgen. Gnade und Frieden seien mit euch.
Die Deutschen sind gelandet.
Good Morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
The Germans have landed.
My family has arrived and it was a beautiful day for driving. Unfortunately, the driving had to be in Chicago. I do not like that city. I think God makes me drive there to teach me patience, tolerance, and grace. Fyi…I really fail in the grace area up there with the way they drive. The brighter note is that I have my family here and I got lots of hugs and tickles. I even got to play with my new translating toy. I felt like I was in Star Trek. Universal translators and all.
Today will be jammed packed with lots of giggles, fast driving on the 4-wheeler, Candy Land, and more playing with my translators. That is the morning. Then I go get my hair cut and come back for some more rest and relaxation. … Ok…my grandkids don’t let me rest and I love it. This weekend we have an inside campout planned with all the cousins. It has been a very long time since I had that many kids overnight. I am going to have a blast. Hopefully by then we will have the bugs worked out of my universal translator.
How many times have you wanted to know what someone was saying that was speaking a different language. Not because you thought they were talking about you, but because the words sounded cool. Or because the passion in which they were speaking seemed interesting. That happens to me a lot. It happens to me even more often when I am reading God’s word. Sometimes I feel a though I need a universal translator to see the message He is trying to get across to me.
Did you know that there is a real translator for His word? It is called prayer.
When there is a question that is weighing heavy and you go to his word, but you cannot understand the answer, your translator is prayer. Go then to Him and seek His understanding. He will translate the message for you. You need only to ask. Do not be afraid of the message you do not understand, but receive it openly and lovingly, for it is surely a message to help you grow.
Today I encourage you to go to your universal translator and seek an audience with Him. Ask him to help you understand the message that He is giving to you. Prayer is the best translator there is. It brings peace and understanding.
Be blessed today my friends.
