1 Corinthians 10:6-12 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written. The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Numbers 11:4-9 And the mixt multitude that was among then fell a lusting; and the children of Is'-ra-el also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
We remember the fish, which we did eat in E'-gypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic;
But now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all, beside this man'-na, before our eyes.
And the man'-na was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellion.
And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the man'-na fell upon it.
Numbers 11:31-35 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails; he that gathered least gathered ten ho'-mers; and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
And he called the name of that place Kib'-rith--hat-ta-a-vah; because there they buried the people that lusted.
And the people journeyed from Kib'-rith--hat-ta-a-vah until Ha-ze'-roth; and abode at Ha-ze'-roth.
