This is from my nightly Bible reading devotionals Scripture from Proverbs. And comment by me.
Proverbs 13:11 (KJV) Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
We are supposed to work hard for what we have and we really don't need a lot of money or a lot of stuff. For startes we need a good job to make enough money for food, clothes, medacations, and doctor visits, etc. The rest of what we make should go to pay thiths, help the poor and the less unfortunates of the world, and maybe leave some of our money to our children. But we should not let money rule our lives because what we make, no matter how much we make, we still can not take it with us when we die. We really won't even need money in heaven so why would we want to take anything from this world into heaven anyway.
1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
